The purpose of this organization shall be to promote a culture of response, service, citizenship, and responsibility for the Citizen Corps, by:

* Promoting public interest and support of the Pearland Area Citizen Corps within the Pearland area.

* Striving for community involvement by encouraging and informing the public about the goal and needs of the Pearland Area Citizen Corps.

* Reviewing projects and/or programs for improving the Pearland Area Citizen Corps efforts, including appropriate display of projects and needs.

* Recommending plans for these projects and/or programs to the appropriate agencies of governmental entities and citizen groups; and

* Securing funding for these projects and/or programs by offering more flexible and cost-effective ways for donors within the Pearland community to contribute and from other sources.
